Can you help me find physical therapy?
Yes. If you were hurt, tell us about your injuries on the call and we will help you find a licensed, independent physical therapy office suited to them — near home or work, at no cost to you. We share placement information, not medical advice; your care stays between you, your therapist, and your doctors.
Can you help with a rental car and repairs?
Yes, both. If your car is out of commission, we help you get into a rental car free, with no deposit required, while yours is in the shop. And we connect you with exceptional, independent auto body shops — no referral fee, ever. You pay us nothing, and every repair decision stays yours.
Is this really free? What's the catch?
It really is free. You will never get a bill from Jay Consultant Accident Advice, not for the call, the review, or the connection to an attorney. There is no catch. We are paid by participating attorneys, and we explain how that works in the next answer.
Who pays you, then?
Honest answer: participating attorneys do. When you ask us to connect you with a lawyer and that connection happens, the attorneys pay us an advertising fee. That is how lead generation works, and we'd rather tell you plainly than have you wonder. Two things it does not change: you never pay us anything, and the attorney's fee to you is not higher because you came through us.
What does the attorney charge?
The independent attorneys we work with take car accident cases on contingency. That means they charge no fee unless they win money for you. If they win, their fee comes out of the recovery as an agreed percentage. Ask them about court costs and case expenses before you sign, because those can work differently from the fee. Get every number in writing before you hire anyone.
Do I owe anything if I decide not to hire a lawyer?
No, nothing. Plenty of people call us, get their questions answered, and handle a small claim on their own. That is fine with us. You owe us nothing either way.
I already got an offer from the insurance company. Is it too late?
If you haven't signed a release, it is probably not too late. An offer is just a starting number. Call us before you sign anything and we'll help you understand whether that number fits cases like yours. If you already signed, call anyway. Some situations still have options, and asking costs you nothing.
Will asking questions hurt my claim?
No. Talking to us is confidential, and we are on your side. What can hurt your claim: recorded statements to the adjuster, posting about the crash online, missing deadlines, and signing things you don't understand. Asking questions first is how you avoid all four.
